SEEKING WISDOM WITH PARABLES: WEEKEND RETREAT

Date(s):
February 10, 2012 - February 12, 2012
Start Time:
6:00pm
End Time:

Theme:  SEEKING WISDOM WITH PARABLES.  “I will open my mouth in parables; I will announce what has lain hidden since the creation of the world” (Psalm 78:2 and Matthew 13:35).  Parables, like silence, offer hidden gifts from God that may be discovered in unique and ever-changing ways. These ancient stories, grounded in everyday life, illuminate a deeper reality. This retreat will incorporate various tangible tools to let the treasures buried in parables emerge from our hearts.
Leader:  Judy Walsh-Mellett is Director of Education at Christian Family Montessori School in Washington, DC where she has had the joy of listening deeply to parables with children assisted by the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.  She enjoys singing, painting, organic gardening and practicing yoga, and is a long-time friend of retreat at Dayspring.
