Living With an Awakened Heart: Weekend Retreat (This Retreat is Full)
Theme: LIVING WITH AN AWAKENED HEART. God cannot find us where we think we ought to be, but only where we are. The invitation of this weekend is to come home to yourself, to your present experience, and to the Holy Spirit present to you in it all. The contemplative life is about facts, about what is, and seeing it with new eyes.
Leader: Tom Ryan, CSP, directs the Paulist Fathers' North American Office for Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations in D.C. He has authored 12 books in the area of spirituality and leads retreats throughout the U.S and Canada.
General Information: Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The leader usually offers brief meditations and morning and evening prayers on Saturday.
