Buddhist Multifaith Day
Theme: The Four Immeasurables. If we were to cultivate our mind as if it were a garden, how would we assure a good crop? We would nurture what we planted and pull weeds by the root. If we were to treat our mind in this same way, we could cultivate qualities that would make our world a better place and our own life more satisfying. The Four Immeasurables refer to loving kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. We will learn and practice simple techniques that will help us to train our minds to create the causes not only for our own happiness, but also for the happiness of those with whom we have connection.
Leader: Ani Rinchen Khandro is a life ordained Buddhist nun who recently completed a three and a half year retreat. She is also an experienced practitioner of Tai Chi /Qigong, which she has taught since 1988.
